    Pet Treat Contract Manufacturing

Fairview Mills understands that it is often less expensive to store and transport pet food or pet food ingredients in bags as opposed to loose, bulk products. Fairview Mills, one of the J-Six Enterprises Divisions, has the infrastructure and capability to transload bulk pet food ingredients in loose containers and bag them according your requirements. This allows you to easily move your products from raw product into ready-to use pet food. For example, send us whole corn. Our team will load it, mill it, then package it according to your specifications. Your raw corn will now be ready for the next phase in the petfood processing industry.

    THE FAIRVIEW MILLS TREATMENT

You want to ensure that your pet food ingredients are packaged in bags or totes. Each pet food ingredient is tested for moisture, nutrient loss, and other metrics in our analytical lab. Next, we vigorously sift your ingredients to get rid of as much dust and chaff. This process will improve the quality of pet food ingredients and ensure that your fifty-pound bag is completely filled with your product, not with chaff or dust. Being able to trust that the fifty-pound bag containing corn gluten is full of corn gluten will allow you to better track your inventory.

While dry milling is less capital intensive, it also yields less ethanol per bushel of corn than wet milling (Rajagopalan, et al., 2005). Wet milling involves steeping the corn for up to 48 hours to assist in separating the parts of the corn kernel.
